A—40 About

Meet your Wealth Architect

I'm Paskal Cormier, a financial advisor. I'm the person clients call before they make a decision rather than after.

You should understand why you're doing something with your money, not simply be told which product to buy.

In short

I advise in both English and French and work with young professionals, families, professionals and business owners who want greater clarity around the wealth they are building.

A—41 The thinking

Why The Wealth Architect exists

Most people don't have a money problem. They have a coordination problem. They've been responsible for years — contributing, saving, buying the sensible thing when someone recommended it — and they end up with a drawer of statements from four institutions and no single view of what any of it is for.

The financial industry is largely organised around products, so that's what most conversations lead with. It's a reasonable way to run a business and a poor way to run a plan. A product is an answer. Nobody had asked the question yet.

I created The Wealth Architect as a way of reversing that order: understand the structure first, and let the components follow. I believe strategy should come before products, and that education should come before selling. Architecture turned out to be the right metaphor because it's honest about sequence — you can't decide on the roof before you know what the building is holding up.

The measure of the work isn't a return number. It's whether you can describe your own financial life clearly, in your own words, and feel calm doing it.

A—42 Background

Background & credentials

Advising clients since 2019. English and French. Long-time member of Advocis — The Financial Advisors Association of Canada.

I began my career in an advisor support role with a local financial advisory firm, learning how financial plans are actually built before I ever sat across from a client of my own. I've been advising clients since 2019, and that experience has given me a broad perspective on the real financial questions and decisions people face as their lives, careers, businesses and families evolve.

Today, I advise clients in both English and French and work in strategic collaboration with ECIVDA Financial Planning Boutique. I remain the client's primary advisor and point of contact, while this relationship gives me access to additional investment resources, planning expertise, administrative support and client servicing when needed. This allows clients to maintain a personal relationship with an advisor who understands their broader financial picture while also benefiting from the resources of a larger professional team.

I work closely with young professionals, families, professionals and business owners who have often done a good job earning and saving but feel that the financial structure around them has not quite caught up. My approach is practical and long-term. I want to help you build a strategy around the life you're actually living and the future you're working toward, rather than starting with whatever financial product happens to be on the shelf.

Relationships matter to me. I want to understand what you're building, what matters to you and what you'd rather stop worrying about. There's something genuinely rewarding about working with someone over time and seeing the decisions we make today turn into meaningful progress years from now.

I'm also a long-time member of Advocis – The Financial Advisors Association of Canada. Outside of work, you'll usually find me at a hockey rink, watching Formula 1, or spending time with friends and family.

What you can expect

01

Questions before answers

The first meeting is mostly listening. Recommendations that arrive before the situation is understood are guesses in good clothing.

02

Plain language, always

If a term needs explaining, it gets explained. You should never nod along to a sentence you didn't follow about your own money.

03

Reasoning you can repeat

Every recommendation comes with the thinking behind it, so you could explain the decision to your spouse a week later.

04

An honest "not yet"

Sometimes the right answer is to fix the foundation and wait. I'll give you that answer even when it isn't the profitable one.

05

Coordination with your other advisors

Your accountant and lawyer stay in the picture. Good structure requires the people around it to be working from the same drawing.

06

A pace you set

There's no artificial urgency. Nothing about a sound financial structure requires a decision by Friday.

Let's start with a conversation.

If you're wondering whether I can help, the easiest place to start is a conversation. No cost, no obligation, and no product pitch — just an honest look at how your financial life is currently put together.
